Crisis!!!!!!! We have borrowed against 2 sitting governors, the territory faces an estimated $100million budget deficit in fiscal year 2015, the Juan F Luis hospital faces economic and governance issues (they struggled to meet payroll, lost accreditation due to matters of policy, procedure and governance, poor treatment of patients to say the least), the number of uninsured in the territory is an estimated 40% of the overall population (thats high), insurance costs increased, energy bills are 5 times higher than the national average, because of the debt service our share of the cover over revenues from rum produced has resulted in less rum revenues coming into the general fund to support government operations, GERS has a growing unfunded liability and faces insolvency, the Constitutional Convention failed to make a decision on the revised constitution by October 31, 2012 preventing this territory from achieving political and governing maturity, teachers are working on expired contracts and our young men are so angry that they have declared war on each other. The aforementioned issues seem to persist as well because we have an apathetic and uninformed citizenry. FB was on fire debating who shouldve won road March, but now is the time to kick up. Dont tell me you dont vote. Remember the many who died and still die around the world for that right. Vote and vote smart!!! Read platforms, check the track records and success levels of whos running, kick up and become part of the solution. Its ok to be a radical. After all Ghandi, Mandela and King were once called communists and radicals. Wake up!!!!
