Critique : Blue Water Resort on Cable Beach in Nassau. From the airport it was $20.00 cab ride to the resort, and they do drive on the left side of the road. On arrival check in was quick and easy. Walking to the unit is was quickly apparent the nice places do have ocean view in the description. The garden units are not so lucky. The floors are tile and very chilly to walk bare foot on. There is a 1/2 bath down stairs, and a full bath in each room. Only the master has a king side bed, the other two bedrooms have twin beds. All bedrooms are up a winding stair case which might present issues to those with handicaps, or old folks, (like me!) ;) The beach is small, and it only extends to the two additional properties on each side. On one side is a resort, the other a public beach, (I think). Across a small bay is Sandals Spa Island. Where folks are pampered all day long. Not sure if it is open to the public or just guests of Sandals. The grocery is about a 10 minute walk, seemed to have a good selection, but the prices were not all that friendly! I was told, but can not confirm the bag boys will push the shopping cart back to the resort for you. Im sure they would anticipate a nice tip, and it would be well worth it! Across the street is the Wok and Roll a Chinese take out, Subway, Burger King and a DQ are a few blocks away. Dominos delivers. The Sand Bar here has burgers and wings. Caution, the wings are not of a Hooters quality. Seemed to be a bit bloody. Questions?
