Croatian President Ivo Josipovic reacts on January 11, 2015 after hearing the first preliminary results of the Croatian presidential elections at his campaign headquarters in Zagreb. Opposition conservative Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic was set to become Croatias first female president on January 11 after taking the lead in a tight run-off vote with a pledge to kickstart the economy, partial results showed. Grabar-Kitarovic, an ex-foreign minister and former NATO official, won 50.44 percent of the vote, according to results based on 80 percent of the ballots cast. Her rival, Josipovic, garnered 49.56 percent of the vote, according to the results released by the electoral commission.
