Crockpot Sesame ginger chicken 1 Tbls sesame oil 8 skinned chicken thighs Cooking spray 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce 2 Tbls light brown sugar 2Tbls fresh orange juice 5 tsp hoisin sauce 1 Tbls grated ginger (fresh) 1 tsp minced garlic 1Tbls cornstarch 1 Tbls cold water 2 tsp sesame seeds (optional) 2 Tbls sliced green onion (optional) 1. Heat oil in large skillet over med high heat. Add chicken; cook 4 min on each side or until golden. Transfer to slow cooker coated with cooking spray. 2. Combine 1/4 soy sauce and next 5 ingredients up to garlic; pour over chicken. Cover and cook on low for 2 1/2 hours or until chicken is tender. Transfer to platter and keep warm. 3. Pour cooking liquid through sieve into a small saucepan. Discard solids. Bring to boil over med high heat. Combine cornstarch and water and add to cooking liquid. Return to boil, continue cooking for 1 min or until sauce is thickened. Serve over chicken. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onion if using.
