Crooked Tree I feel like a crooked tree Standing on a crooked hill With all my crooked roots In the crooked earth to feel With my crooked branches Reaching into a crooked sky With all my crooked tears Running crookedly as I cry I feel like a crooked tree Crooked limbs with bird nest Crooked songbirds singing Crooked sun sets in the west With crooked rays of sunlight Reflecting on crooked fence post Crooked snake crookedly crawls Love Father, Sun and Holy Ghost I feel liked a crooked tree Withering storms in crooked life Crooked stars in crooked heavens Crooked stars sparkle in the night Lost here in crooked dreams On my crooked way back home With my crooked joys and pains And all these crooked aging bones I feel like a crooked tree With a crooked family and friends Working through this crooked life Working through to the cooked end With my crooked loving heart Feeling crooked and beautiful things In this crooked beautiful world That is just as crooked as it seems I feel like a crooked tree Standing on a crooked hill With all my crooked roots In the crooked earth to feel Edwin Lewis Brasher © 09-02-2013 8:30 A.M.
