Cross Country- The Liberty Bell Boys literally ran away with the title at the Oroville Invite Saturday afternoon at Veterans Memorial Park on the shores of Osyoyoos Lake. Mt Lions Ben Klemmek and Liam Daily finished in second and third, respectively, leading the Mt Lions to a 36 point total in the 10 team race. Quincys Jackrabbits were 2nd with 49 points and Republic was a distant third at 78. Willy Duguay placed 6th, Morgan Ott was 11th, Josiah Klemmek 14th, Carter Dornfeld 33rd and Logan Szafus 36th. Team scores: 1. Liberty Bell 36 2. Quincy 49 3. Republic 78 4. Omak 89 5. Chelan 133 6. Lake Roosevelt 154 7. Tonasket 209 8. Bridgeport 215 9. Brewster 231 10. Oroville 254 Lilly Schlotzhauer ran a very respectable 23:54 and was 22nd in the Girls Varsity race. Things also were good in the other races as Erik Ellis took first place in JV, Eli Neilsen was 2nd in the Boys MS race and Sage Borgias ran very well in the Girls MS race. Next up for LBH is the Central Washington B Championships next Saturday at Liberty Bell. Boys and Girls Varsity will race together, starting gun at 1pm. there is no admission charge, come on out and root on the Mt Lions as they run toward Pasco for the 4th straight year.
