Cross post: So...perhaps a little advice. Some of you know I have an 11 wk old pup and an older doxie I rescued who is maybe 8-11 yrs old. They have been doing quite well but last night a pecan fell on the floor and the older doxie attacked the pup who had it. There was a five minute yelping session and a nicked nose on the pup. Other than that he appears to be physically fine. Hes walking, eating, drinking, pooping and slept as normal. He is not afraid of the older dog. But.....hes been very subdued this am. Hes normally a bundle of barky energy and today hes just lazy. I thought about taking him to the vet (my old vet is open today but they will milk it for every dime they can get). Still, he seems physically fine. Maybe he just needs to cuddle more today. Your thoughts?
