CrossFit 580’s Look Better Naked Nutrition Challenge 2014 It’s time. Time to get back into “the swing of things”. We have all been eating a little too much questionable foods over the summer. So, now that things are settling down, what a better time than now to do a nutrition challenge?! Starts: Monday September 15th 2014 to Friday November 7th 2014. (8 weeks) Pictures and measurements will be taken Saturday and Sunday September 13th and 14th. Sign up for a time slot at the box. The sign up sheet is on the white board. Ending pics and measurements will be taken November 8th and 9th. (there will be a sign up sheet for time slots) Rules You can choose to do Paleo, Zone, Primal or just clean eating in general. The main idea is to cut the junk out of your diet. If you have to ask, it probably is a cheat. Cheats include white-based pastas, flours, breads and pastries. Chips, cookies, soda, beer and candy are also cheats. Now, here’s how you win. 1) Log your food: You need to log your meals for the day with your favorite food log app. You can even write it in a journal. I do not need to see it but you will get a point for logging your food each week. 2) Do at LEAST 3 WODs/workouts a week WOD’s/workouts can be done anywhere. Each week, there will be a sheet with each person’s/participants name on it at each gym hung up. Every week that you get your workouts in, you will check by your name. 3) HONOR SYSTEM: Look, we know everyone’s not perfect, but we want to try to make this challenge have you see REAL results. So we’re asking for your accountability and honesty. On the same sheet where you’ll initial if you got your workouts in, there will be a weekly box for you to check whether or not you cheated. Obviously, this is on an honor system. If you cheat you must post that you did so AND YOU WILL DO 30 BURPEES IF YOU CHEAT OR DON”T GET 3 WORKOUTS IN! Again, this is the honor system. We trust that you will do the burpees by marking burpees next to your cheats. 4) Weight Loss 5) Inches Lost 6) Body Fat lost CrossFit coaches NOT at our box will do the judging so it will be non-biased. The judging will be based on the overall best transformation and adherence to following the above rules. For example, someone may have made a major transformation but did not do 3 wods a week or didn’t journal they would then not be able to win. The cost is $50 to cover admin costs and prizes. (Much less than what you would pay for any other competition, 2 weeks of drinks at Starbucks, or on 1 dinner out for 2. You get my point) Cash only please as it will go to the winners and cash will be due at the time of your appointment for measurements and pictures. Prizes 1 Male and 1 Female winner A pretty good size cash prize (depending on participation) If you do not win the challenge you will still have won by being a new, healthier, leaner YOU! It was amazing to see all the great results that we ALL achieved during our last challenge. I’m looking forward to doing this with you all again.
