Crowds, fairs, and festivals can all be a real challenge for a combat veteran. The lack of personal space, loud noises, and unpredictable crowds are all things that can intensify a veterans hypervigilance and anxiety. Having a service dog does not absolutely negate these issues, but it can help make them more manageable. I spent years after returning home from Iraq avoiding these types of environments, choosing instead to isolate.....unfortunately these types of choices effect children and family members as well. Having a battle buddy service dog at your side can help to mitigate some of these symptoms, making it more manageable....giving the veteran the opportunity to engage in this sort of family activity more often, and overall increases the veterans, and their familys quality of life together. -Kenny The Battle Buddy Foundation needs your support as we work to provide these service dogs to veterans of all eras at no cost, and continue to build our Mentorship and Employment programs designed to provide veterans with the support and direction they need as they transition back into the civilian world. With an average of 22 veteran suicides a day, there has never been a greater need for the provision of long term and tangible support for our veterans in need. Be a hero to a veteran in need today, and make a tax deductible donation to support our nations heroes. tbbf.org/donate https://facebook/battlebuddy TBBF.org LIKE / SHARE / TAG
