Crowds gathered at the banks of the Sigatoka river today while celebrating Fijis 44th year of independence to cheer on their favorite teams at the 30th Bilibili Races. Chief guest, Mr Dixon Seeto highlighted at the opening of the games that while we recognize Tourism as the largest foreign exchange earner, the largest employer, a great industry for investment and all its contribution to Fijis economy, we needed to also acknowledge the contribution to the staff of various Hotels & Resorts who work tirelessly and give great service and make Fiji one of the most attractive holiday destinations in the world. This year there were 9 teams who participated on 20 events throughout the day. Vinaka Vaka Levu to the events main sponsors Coca Cola, this years property hosts, the Shangri-La Fijian Resort and the events organizing committee for their contributing efforts to making this years event yet another success.
