Crucial survey identifies top reasons we unfriend people on Facebook 7/2/2013 A new survey by a U.K. shopping site identified the most common reasons for unfriending others on Facebook. Unsurprisingly, bragging — veiled or otherwise — was the No. 1 reason, with 68 percent of respondents identifying it as the impetus for deleting someone from their friends list. Gushy romantic statuses came in at No. 2, with 61 percent. Other common reasons for unfriending included "inappropriate photos," posts that were "too personal" and updating too much, period. Fifteen percent of users said they deleted someone when that contact began adding friends from their own contact list without knowing anyone, which once and for all, is just creepy and weird. These are all more valid reasons than ours, which usually break down to: Bored, capricious or fat fingers making it difficult to properly use the computer. [Source]
