Cruelty Free Festival 2013photos The 8th annual Cruelty Free Festival is now just one week away! We have such an exciting lineup of entertainers and inspiring speakers this year, we’ve interviewed every one and you can find these on our Facebook page. You can also view the full CFF program and map with stallholders via the crueltyfreefestival.org.au website. What’s new? This Kids Zone has developed into its own open-air marquee and has a full program including professional face-painters, WIRES wildlife speakers, childrens yoga and meditation and even a Brazilian dance workshop -Learn the Lambada! Possibly the most exciting development this year is the Dog Zone for our fur-kids to enjoy. The basis of this space will be a free (for a gold-coin donation) short-term dog-sitting service for patrons who can leave their fur-kid in good hands whilst they use the facilities, have something to eat etc. Other activities on offer all-day will be mini-dog grooming, a doggie obstacle course, photos by Jo Lyons and even caricature portraits by Tim McFarlin! There will be guest speakers talking about communications, healing and calm dog training, both with Q&A sessions. And some really fun dog competitions will be looking for entrants - Waggliest Tail, Look-a-like and Biggest Smile all with generous prizes. Raffle, Show Bags and Competitions This year’s raffle will be our most generous prize pool yet. With over $2,700 worth of prizes donated this year, we’ll be pooling them into 10 mega lots of cruelty-free awesomeness. So make sure you’re in it to win it, as this is also our number 1 fundraiser on the day! Our show bags this year will be sold in limited edition (200) CFF 2013 branded canvas tote bags, all containing a whole host of cruelty free goodies. Show bags will be for sale on the day at the Information Tent and please check our social media site for full details on the raffle lots and bag contents. Five people also have the chance to WIN a FREE lunch for 4 at the festival, simply by entering our Facebook Rescue Animal Photo Competition during October. Winners will be announced Nov 1 and all winners will also get a FREE Davroe Haircare pack valued around $100. Speed Networking Looking for ways to expand your social networks and meet like-minded others with an interest in Animal Ethics? Then come join our Speed Networking sessions. Registrations start 11am in the bar area and run until the bar opens at 12pm. Spread the word Cruelty Free Festival 2013 will be held on 3rd November 10am-5pm at Belmore Park Haymarket, just opposite Central Station. All foods and products served or sold on the day will be free from animal ingredients, their derivatives and are not tested on animals, so shop safe, shop happy! Look forward to seeing you there!
