It was confirmed that no passenger was ever exposed to Ebola. The Galveston County Health Authority allowed all passengers to leave the ship without restrictions after assessing there was no evidence of a health threat posed by one of the passengers, a hospital lab supervisor who had tested specimens from an Ebola-infected patient in Texas. The hospital worker had never displayed symptoms and test results were negative for the disease.
