Crumbed Chicken Schnitzels with homemade Cheese Sauce. This is pretty easy to do so not sure any of you want the recipe? But, I will type it out anyway! Basically, I cut the chicken fillets in half, lengthwise, dipped them in egg then breadcrumbs & spices. Put them in the fridge for 1/2 hour. Spray n Cook your pan and add a little Olive oil and fry the fillets till golden brown. When cooked through and golden, place them on a plate with paper towel and keep warm. In the meantime, make your cheese sauce. This time, I added a tsp of garlic..love my garlic!! Cheese Sauce: 1 Dessert spoon butter (real butter) 1 tsp garlic (or more!) 1 Dessert spoon flour Cup of grated Cheddar cheese. Milk Salt Ground Pepper Heat the butter and garlic. Add the flour and mix. Take off the stove and slowly add milk and use a whisk to eliminate lumps forming. Keep adding milk and whisk until you have about 600ml or so of sauce.I find this more than enough for 4 Schnitzels. Place back on the stove and simmer, adding the cheese. Stir well until sauce thickens. Add salt and pepper. TIP: If sauce is not thick enough, add a little Maizena & water mixed. FYI...this meal for 3 cost us R40!!!! ENJOY!!
