Crystal and I are both passionate about Social Work and aim to use the Supervision training to do a different take on pay it forward by igniting the passion in an average of 30 Social Workers at a time and they in turn will light the passion in the between 3 and 10 Social Workers in each of their teams Over the past two days (Wednesday and Thursday), we trained 32 Government, NGO and Medical Social Workers, Social Work Supervisors and Managers mostly from Gauteng on Social Work Supervision - Back to Basics. Two of the Social Workers came from outside Gauteng - one from Mpumalanga and one from Swaziland. It was great to see how the excitement grew as we challenged their thinking, provided them with knowledge, new insights and especially with tools that they can introduce tomorrow to improve their Supervision and management skills. Our next training workshop will be on 4 and 5 June 2014 in Cape Town when we will be training Social Workers, Senior Child and Youth Care Workers and Managers.
