Cthulhumas Day 8: The Krampus.... The Krampus has been gaining popularity in recent years, tonight (Dec. 5th) is traditionally the night of his ride and is celebrated with a festival known as the Krampuslauf. The Krampus is the horned, beast-like creature (often demonic in appearance) that rides ahead of St. Nicholas punishing the wicked children of the world while St. Nicholas rewards the good ones. There will, one day, be a Krampus costume in my cosplay kit. Probably a steampunk version with bizarre headgear, a mechanical hand, and some geared-up kid-trap to wear on my back.
