Cuba, 55 years later. There is no doubt that Fidel Castro has been a Communist for most of the past 55 years. There need to be changes in Cuba and I hope the recent moves by President Obama will bring about many liberal improvements there. I dont believe that Castro was a Communist during the revolution. He had lived with his sister in the US and even though she opposed him and his policies, she claimed that he never used Communist rhetoric before the end of the revolution. It was only when the US rebuffed him and he sought a friend with a big club, that he embraced the Soviet Union and, yes, I believe that he became a true Communist, just as Ho Chi Minh was a true Communist but a more enlightened foreign policy could have made for a much more peaceful history throughout the 60s and 70s. https://youtube/watch?v=kjpnfDwWd7Y
