Cuban Salsa lovers - have the experience of a lifetime in a high energy workshop with the dynamic Rolando Garcia Callaba. Direct from Cuba and now, luckily for us, an integral part of the Australian Cuban salsa scene. Rolando was born and raised in Nuevo Vedado, Havana, Cuba. The 28 year old, a student of the Institute Superior de Arte in Havana, is a vibrant and energetic dancer of Salsa, Rumba, Son, Columbia, Guaguanco, Orishas, Reggaeton and has spent his youth dancing and performing in the streets of Havana in places like Jardines of 1830, Casa de la Musica, la Tropical, el Florida, Callejon de Hammel, El Palenque and more. He has also trained and performed with Folkloric Group Cuatro Vientos. Rolando has been teaching beginners to advanced students for 7 years and is passionate about his home land and all things Cuban. Rolando has only recently come to Australia and is currently collaborating with artists in Adelaide and Melbourne and is teaching with La Bomba Productions. Rolando also performed and choreographed pieces for the 2014 Adelaide Fringe Show from Cairo to Copacabana! He has been a very popular guest of the Sydney Cuban Salsa Congress the last two years and will be returning to the event again in 2015 and was a part of the First Caribe Festival in Adelaide this year!
