Cubed bread to dry and finely chopped the celery and onion for stuffing. Cleaned, cut the ends off, and quartered pounds of fresh Brussels Sprouts to oven roast, and turned pounds of broccoli into beautiful florets to be made into casserole. I know that feeding a slew of (20 year old(ish) young men requires a lot of food,but man, how did I burn hours just doing the prep chopping? Good thing we have enough of a blast to make the effort worth it :) I will admit, I do go a little overboard with Thanksgiving menu, and being the only female, of course I do all the work. Someday there will be DILs to help? I also super cleaned the dining room and set the table. I have been cooking Thanksgiving dinners since I was 11 years old, and I am a stickler for having almost everything done in advance.
