Cue Morgan Freeman voice narration: Before Netflix, before HBO, before X-Box, before the Internet, before cell phones, there were drive-in theatres. Lots of them. The drive-ins were so popular, there was one in every town, sometimes more than one. They were the place to go for families, hanging out with the crew, or going out with your main squeeze. Cars would line up down the road for miles at sunset to get in, kids would come dressed in their PJs, so as to be put right to bed at the end of the evening. The air would be heavy with the scent of fresh popcorn as the sun went down, in anticipation of movies under the stars alongside friends and family.
