Culture to Americans is silly TV shows....US people are told that you have to meld in with our society to be excepted... not quite the same in Canada...Find when we meet Americans on our vacation travels....ask what do you do... never where are you from?? don t care about that?? Have Jewish, Far East and Europeans friends.....1 big difference is they stay in touch with each other....NA not good at this....my family....6 uncles....no aunts....lived in 3 different US states & at 1 time....5 different Canadian provinces....some 2/3 cousins....never meet...1 uncle in B.C...2 meetings at funerals.. aunt/uncle in Toronto...she did not like my dad...saw they 2 x...cousins much older....no family reunions...sense of our origin which was English/Scottish....never been there....had relatives visit very rarely.....dad acted like he did not want them around....no fussing.....never talked about his relatives...like they did not exist....mom did....rarely...
