Cuomo was a flaming liberal but he was no less human than any of us. The dehumanization of those who serve in elected office troubles me deeply. Ill be leaving office in a couple of years and Im looking forward to once again having friends who have no political agenda and to once again have it not assumed that Im corrupt simply because I won an election. There are many people in public office who have a wide and diverse range of political views. Most of them serve at a high personal and financial cost. The level of cynicism and bile in America today keeps many good people from considering public service and drives many good ones out of politics permanently.
