Cupressus macrocarpa, commonly known as Monterey cypress, is a species of cypress (evergreen tree with aromatic leaves) native to the Central Coast of California. Although its an indoor plant, it can also be grown outside, especially in the areas with mild winters. Grow the plant in a place with bright light. Ideal temperatures for growing are between 18 - 26oC during growing season. Therefore you must water more often and feed the plant with the liquid fertilizer. But in the winter replace the plant in a cold place with the temperatures from 5 to 12oC. In this time let the soil dry out a bit. Feeding isnt needed. Cupressus grows quite quickly, so after some time it will need pruning.
