Curious about the psychology of being annoyed by FB game requests. I got one the other day, and noticed that my immediate reaction was to be annoyed, or even angry. Why? All I have to do is ignore it, just like the dozens of other notifications I ignore every day. Why am I so outraged at someones invitation to do something fun with me? Isnt that a nice thing? If it was like a death or an aggravated assault request, that would be more understandable. Its not like Im getting so many of them that Im flooded with notifications, and even if I were I could still just ignore them. Im a fairly serious person, but I wouldnt say I hate fun. If Im so busy that I cant be bothered by game requests, shouldnt I also not be on Facebook in the first place? No good answer for myself, except that I clearly must just HATE GAMES.
