Chad, Chile, Lithuania, Nigeria and Saudi Arabia elected to seats as non-permanent members by the United Nations Security Council in the 15-member Council last week. These members have been elected for two-year term which would start from January 2014. The New Council members will replace Azerbaijan, Guatemala, Morocco, Pakistan and Togo. 2. Google-owned online ad-placing service DoubleClick announced that the way has been cleared to include space at Facebook. Google had previously been shut out of the social networks advertising network. DoubleClick Bid Manager is a way for marketers to buy online ad space at websites across the Internet. 3. Israel Government has recognized New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg as the first ever recipient of the $1 million Genesis Prize, an award also known as the “Jewish Nobel Prize.” The Genesis Prize Foundation stated Bloomberg was honoured as the first winner for his long record of public service and philanthropy. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will present the prize to Bloomberg in May 2014 in Israel.
