Current Election Physics are the Poison...... Prior to the advent of nationally syndicated low brow right wing crap radio shows all elections for congress were local affairs, more akin to electing a mayor. Once the satellite went up and could broadcast limbaugh and his wretched clones all over the place to an audience of gullible ignoramuses, easily swayed by demagogic calls to fear and bigotry and conspiracy sales pitches, all these formerly locally oriented elections became national affairs. And evil demagogs gained control of mid-term elections, and to a slightly lesser degree all elections. I say to a slightly lesser degree, because when a right wing presidency culminates in the predictable cataclysms (iraq war on lies, financial collapse, etc.), it is possible in only that immediate political environment to overcome the power of typhoon style saturation hysteria that only nationally syndicated low brow right wing crap radio can manufacture. In this modern era the above combination of satellite technology and immoral comically/tragically dishonest satellite right wing crap radio has resulted in a reliable right wing veto in the first mid-term of both the Clinton and Obama presidencies. This phenomenon will continue because the widespread and well coordinated new cultural norm of blatant, widespread political lying abetted by technology is here to stay.
