Current affairs just go to show how much we as human beings have simply not learnt any lessons from what has happened in the past. For 67 years the Palestinian people have been ethnically cleansed from their homelands; Since 1982 Rohingya muslims in Myanmar have been forced from their homes into concentration camps to work hard labour; Syrians are currently being slaughtered by Islamic State militants and Assads forces; The west continues to support tyrannical regimes which serve their imperialist interests, ignoring the fact citizens living under these regimes have had their human rights suppressed and have been living in fear; People hating on other certain types of people, whilst failing to grasp they are being used as a convenient scapegoat by the Political/Financial establishment to deflect, whist they themselves are being exploited... There are too many people who take too much pride in themselves to care what another human being is going through elsewhere, failing to even consider putting themselves in their shoes for just a few moments; Too many people remain reliant on a distorted perspective being projected by the televised and publicised mainstream which constructs our knowledge and understanding of the world, with vehement efforts put in attempting to legitimise the status quo and to persuade the population in accepting their position in society which is far from what it could be. In order to solve a problem, you must first acknowledge their is one. Alone we are nothing; together we are a force to be reckoned with.
