Current as of Feb. 13, 6:20 a.m. Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst is at Limited Operations and the Installation Commander has determined that only those personnel designated as mission, emergency, or weather essential A and B, as determined by mission partner commanders, are required to report for duty. As a reminder, mission, emergency or weather essential A and B personnel are those that the commander/director determines necessary to restore the base to normal operations or necessary to maintain essential base services, activities and schedules. Commanders/Directors are responsible for determining and clarifying the categories of their personnel. Personnel designated as mission essential are expected to be at work regardless of any dismissal authorization due to weather or other reason, unless personal safety conditions dictate otherwise. The base will stay in limited operations status throughout the remainder of the day. Additionally, JB MDL road conditions are currently Red. The road conditions are hazardous due to ice, snow, high winds, heavy precipitation, or reduced visibility. All drivers who must be on the road should use extreme caution and reduce speeds to 15 mph throughout the joint base and 5 mph in all housing areas and parking lots. As always, safety is a primary concern for Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst leadership. Updates will be provided as they become available via all joint base communication tools.
