Forecast for today, Friday 29 August: Today - Mostly cloudy with scattered outbreaks of rain. Good dry spells will occur, especially across eastern counties. Any rain will be light generally. However, low cloud and mist will affect hills in the west. Highest temps of 16-19°C. Fresh SW winds. Tonight - Mostly dry apart from well scattered passing showers. Mild with lowest temps of 11-13°C. Moderate to fresh SW to W winds. Much of the day will be dry with a lot of cloud but brief sunny breaks will develop too. A few passing light showers may occur, especially during the morning in the north. Highest temperatures of 16-18°C. Night - Humid and misty with light winds and near calm conditions. Mist will form widely and may thicken to fog inland. Sunday: Dry day in most places, but a little light rain or drizzle will occur in parts of the west and north. Next week: From Monday onwards going into midweek the weather will be mostly settled and dry. Winds will be light and variable in direction. Inland temperatures will get into the early twenties and the nights will be very mild.
