Current project ~ Yet ANOTHER variation on alto balalaika, also electric. Top and bottom are cut, neck is carved. I need to cut the side pieces, once I figure out their shape. Im thinking of a different approach for sound projection when played acoustically. Whether I do it or not remains to be seen. I am also considering a different stringing approach. A steel bottom string augmented by two wound steel strings. The tuning would be E-A-e (New Standard Balalaika? In homage to Master Fripp). Again, these are just IDEAS that Im toying with. Whether anything comes out of it...well, well wait and see.
