Current temp @ 2:45pm is 86.6° GULF OF MEXICO Neither Invest 94-L nor Invest 92-L are expected to develop significantly. 92-L, over in the eastern Gulf, remains unorganized. Strong wind-shear aloft has done enough damage to it limit the odds for development in the next couple of days to 10%, per NHC. Thunderstorms are sparsely scattered on the periphery of the pressure minimum. As long as storms dont persist right above it -for longer than just a few hours- we wont see much intensity change. I havent seen enough in the models to make me think 92-L will intensify. The consensus is to bring it westward through a hostile environment to the Texas coast Tuesday(ish), essentially as is. That could still bring some locally heavy rain midweek, especially if it gets tangled up in the frontal zone we expect to be there anyway. The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Storm Edouard, located about 1000 miles east-northeast of the northern Leeward Islands. The area of low pressure over the southeastern Gulf of Mexico is becoming less defined and the associated shower activity is decreasing. Upper-level winds are not conducive for development and the low will most likely degenerate into a trough of low pressure while it moves westward across the Gulf of Mexico. Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent. Formation chance through 5 days...low...10 percent. Shower activity associated with a tropical wave located southwest of the Cape Verde Islands has diminished and development of this system is not likely to occur as it moves westward or west-northwestward at around 10 mph. Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent. Formation chance through 5 days...low...10 percent. https://facebook/diamondheadeastweather darrylmeltondiamondheadweather/index.html
