Currently 36% of the people in Bangladesh live below the poverty line, and 50% of these people are either children or teens. To make ends meet, instead of going to school, over 6 million children 5-15 years of age in Bangladesh are forced to work, often enduring extremely dangerous working conditions. In fact, out of the 80% of children who enroll in primary education, 35% drop out. The focus of the MCF program is to provide these children with the opportunity for education.
