Currently in a world of pain, but absolutely LOVED climbing my first Munro yesterday!! Mark very kindly put me in the first team, with folk who were clearly fit and had scaled mountains before. (Thanks for that buddy) It was tough work, but we made the summit in just over 3 hours. The weather was on our side, and as we stopped for a quick sandwich, the cloud split and the sun came out; views from the top were unbelievable! Our awesome guide Callum was over the moon, hadnt seen views like that in all his times up there. Coming down was far quicker and tons of fun. It helped that my team of 13 were amazing folk, kept smiling and encouraging each other on. In total over 60 of our fundraisers reached the summit yesterday, thats incredible!! What got me through the tough parts on the way up was remembering how much wed raised in sponsorship for Let us Shine, its fantastic and theres still more to come.
