Currently listening to the Two Albums Compiled after Dustys death A Love Like Yours and Dusty Heard Them Here First The Original Versions of the songs That Inspired Dusty Springfield. Of course in every case Dustys vocal is better than the original, but the next thing that strikes me is the production for me is miles better on every single version of Dustys takes on the songs. Given that the majority of the Original (Non Dusty) songs were recorded at Major US studios, and Dusty is given the credit of producing or co-producing most of her songs in English Dingy Studios its yet another feather in her Cap.
