Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary boasts an amazing onsite wildlife - TopicsExpress

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary boasts an amazing onsite wildlife hospital founded by Alex Griffiths 63 years ago. As the need for specialist care became obvious, the first veterinarian started work in 1989 and the Currumbin Sanctuary Wildlife Hospital was born. Today TAFE Queensland Brisbane Vet Nurse student Katie assisted in assessing a possum brought to the hospital with Dermatitis. The other cases you see here are an Eastern Rosella and Sacred Kingfisher - both with suspected bird attack injuries from the local area. Sanctuary guests can have a bird’s eye view of our vets working, and can experience the depth that Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary has for the care and welfare of the Australian native animal population. Follow us on Twitter for up-to-date information on our wildlife stories and hospital news, and visit our website cws.org.au for details on visiting the park.
