Custom Built Gaming/Work PC - i7 3770, GTX 660 OC, 16GB RAM, 120GB SSD, 1TB HDD - $1100 neg Paid Approx $2000 Im a graphic designer and gamer. This PC was custom built for my graphic design work and gaming about 1 year ago. It has always sat on a low desk to prevent dust build up and maintained very well. Runs all programs in the Adobe Suite very well and games respectably (Crysis, Far Cry etc). The system has 2 red LED fans, subtle and tasteful, with a window on the side to show off the internal components. A big Hyper 212 Evo keeps the CPU nice and cool, and a fan controller hidden behind the front armour plate door makes sure that the PC is as silent as possible when I am not taxing it and then I can turn up the fans for added ventilation on a hot day or when I am video encoding, gaming etc. SO... WHY AM I UPGRADING? Recently Ive started video recording and editing, as well as having upgraded my system to a 4k display coupled with a 1080p secondary display. Both these things are very taxing on the PC that was not built for the higher specifications and requirements in mind. While the CPU is very good, with the recent introduction of the X99 chipset, Ive decided to jump onboard that to make my video encoding faster. And with nVidias 9xx series graphics card I can game at 4k in SLI. Benchmarks! Playing Crysis 3: 2560 x 1440 Anti-Aliasing: Off Vsync: Off Texture Resolution: Medium System Spec: Medium Average: 35-45 FPS 1920 x 1080 Anti-Aliasing FXAA Vsync: Off Texture Resolution: High System Spec: High Average: 65-75 FPS So basically the PC I built is great, and if I dont find a seller at the right price I will probably continue to use it. But if this looks like the computer for you then I hope you take good care of it, enjoy all the power inside.
