Customary Tuesday morning spoiler alert: if you haven’t watched last night’s episode of THE BLACKLIST, read no further! “Does the FBI have a Christmas party?” So. The deadly virus theme certainly was current, but I have to say, it’s not my favorite plot. As soon as Lizzie (stupidly) joined in the isolation room, you knew there’d be an antidote and that Red would be the one to find it. Relating to the on-going plot threads – Red finally does track down the girl who I think is Jennifer, but I’m not sure if she’s his daughter with Naomi, or Naomi’s daughter with someone else. I don’t recall Naomi referring to Jennifer as anything other than “my daughter” – not OUR daughter, so I’m still a little fuzzy on who the girl is. I was discussing this show with my bff this morning, and we agreed there was a vibe that was missing this season, and we both agreed that love him or hate him, Tom provided that bit of unspoken, underlying conflict between him and Red that accounted for some of that which we loved about the show last season. We knew from the beginning that something was up with Tom – that something was not right. That we knew and Lizzie – who clearly loved Tom - did not know really added a lot to the intrigue – and that underlying current is missing. Which is why they’re going to have to bring Tom back. Everyone I’ve spoken with believes that Tom is behind the locked door. What do you think?
