Customer Service FAIL of the day. Going through the drive through of a local food emporium (chicken caesar salad, if you must know...), the very young and perky salesperson said, Sir, may I ask your age? I believe you qualify for our senior discount program. (first time Ive ever been carded at a Taco Time) Being cheap, I gave her my age and a smile. To which she then said, I ask because I believe people who HAVE LIVED AS LONG AS YOU and given as much as you have deserve every honor we can give you. Combine this with an little experience at last Saturdays memorial service for my stepfather. Having read Dons eulogy, at the end of the service my 80+ aunt said, You looked just like my dad! Although an incredible honor to be compared to one of the bright and shining icons of my life, this comparison has never been made before. Add in that she never qualified her words with, When he was young... Time to hit the club and eat some sprouts...
