Customer Service Representative in Claims - Sydney Olympic Park The Business: CommInsure is a division of Wealth Management business unit within CBA, offering a range of life insurance, superannuation, retirement income, investment and general insurance products. The General Insurance Claims business is accountable for the end to end servicing of General Insurance customers including policy acceptance and administration, servicing customer enquiries, underwriting, claims and customer complaints. The Role: The successful applicant will assess home claims. This involves the gathering of documentation and information necessary for the assessment, and delivering sound customer service. You will: Manage telephone answer times, standard identification procedures, and messaging, within expected time frames. Update, modify customer policy details as required. Register new claims following the correct procedure. Manage the claim process start to end Obtain verbal proof of loss as appropriate. Allocate work to Preferred Suppliers/Builders. Authorise repairs of Insured to delegated authority level, within relevant policy and procedures. Finalise claims to delegated authority level and allocated category of claim. Identify/refer recoveries process, as appropriate. Refer where appropriate of suspicious claims to Investigations. Refer claims outside delegated authority and allocation to relevant team/specialists. Provide exceptional customer service. Ability to resolve customer and third party disputes in a logical and timely manner, adhering to expected organisational standards of individual performance responsibility and accountability You will bring: Experience in delivering in/outbound telephone based or service. Experience in a high paced corporate office environment is a must. Understanding of building, home, contents and/or an understanding of building/repair procedures. Ability to negotiate with customers, service providers and third parties. Strong Communication skills. Experience in processing insurance policy claims, or similar (desirable). This role requires you to work the standard work hours (38 hours per week), 5 days per week on a rotating shift with hours between 8am – 6pm, Monday to Friday.
