Customer service award of the month to Caltex and Rockgas Kaikoura, specifically to attendant Bruce Guthrie. 7pm Friday night heading for Bluebridge ferry in Picton, Ive a tyre to change on the truck and Im outside Caltex in Kaikoura. I seek the permission of the attendant to drive in and use his forecourt to sort it. No problem! Bruce couldnt have been more helpful. A few hours earlier Kevin and I had searched Rise Up Christchurch (dick Smith, 2 degrees, vodaphone, Noel Leamings etc) for a 24v cigarette jack phone charger - NO JOY! Caltex Kaikoura came to the rescue - NO PROBLEM! Fixed the tyre, fuelled up, ate up and off! Thanks Bruce Guthrie! Will now not pass without a refuel and feed!
