Cute little LUIGI is our ADOPTABLE Rattie of the Day!! Location: Oregon Luigi is a skinny little guy with huge ears and an even bigger personality. He was transported to Oregon from the Sacramento (CA) Animal Shelter, where he had only a limited time left. Luigi did not do well at the shelter, as he is very gentle and quite sensitive. He had obviously not been eating, so he needs to fill out a little; he is making up for that in his foster home. In just the short time Luigi has been in rescue, he has learned how to use a doggy door and has become friends with all the other dogs in the household. He was a “marker” when he arrived, but that behavior has almost totally ceased. This little guy will turn himself inside out to please his person, and he is very bright. Luigi only weighs about ten pounds, and he needs to gain some weight. He is house broken, and runs into his crate to eat his meals and to sleep at night. Luigi has a blue “blankie” that he loves and will cuddle into it wherever it is. He is hand shy at first, and is scared of being picked up until he has time to get to know you - then he gets extremely friendly and will follow you all over. Luigi needs to be adopted by a loving, gentle family soon, as Luigi is primed to fall in love and be a devoted pet for somebody. His foster home is calm, with an established routine, and he is thriving in that atmosphere. Luigi is frightened of boisterous children, but very good with calm, gentle ones. He would probably accept a cat, as he is very good with other dogs. Luigi is 5 years old. This is a wonderful dog! He has no serious faults and is a tender, gentle soul.
