CuteCircuit Lights Up New York Fashion Week With Connected Textiles New York Fashion show has been the home to some futuristic innovations over the past couple of years. We’ve seen 3D printed clothing and even Google Glass strut down the runway. This year, we saw wearable technology take the forefront with the landmark debut of interactive fashion label CuteCircuit. CuteCircuit made history at Fashion Week as being the first collection made of wearable technology integrated into couture and ready-to-wear clothing to walk down the runway. The collection included skirts, accessories and shoes made of connected textiles and were controlled by the Q by CuteCircuit iPhone App. The models controlled their garments while on the runway to activate LEDs and other connected parts to make them their own. “We design garments we dream about and the excitement of making them accessible to people who love them is what keeps us designing,” CuteCircuit explains on their blog. “This is what keeps us going and allows us to invent new ways of thinking about fashion. It is not only about expressing our creativity, but giving women new experiences and ways to express themselves, through this process changing the perception of fashion through innovation.Video below vimeo/86716459
