Cutie-ness update: (Dinozzo was adopted about 3 months ago and they added Cutie to the mix a couple weeks ago.) I just wanted to update Carols Ferals and friends on the adjustment of our newest friend May (previously named Cutie). It didnt take long at all for her to want to explore her new home. She was so ready, Im sure that she would have gladly traveled the whole house the first day, if wed let her. Alphonse (formerly DiNozzio from the NCIS litter) might not have been quite so willing. She was so excited that often she would be like her brother and escape the room we were keeping her in (when we were trying to enter the room). Thankfully, Alphonse was just as curious as he was territorial, so no fights ensued upon accidental encounters. After a week of separation, they were already meeting well and interacting nicely. Alphonse no longer growled and hissed as he did at the first near her door. In fact, he was ready to play. May wasnt quite as ready to play just yet, so she would growl and hiss at him when he pushed his presence too far. When they had quiet, sleepy moments, I noticed that Al would lick her when she was near him. May learned where she could go to get away from him if she needed space. I was most excited to see this week that May would engage in play in return and tackle with him. Now she chases him too. I scarcely ever hear her growl or hiss for him to back off anymore. If she ever gets tired of the play, she retreats to her hiding places. They eat well near each other and will commune with each other on the window sill. I am so grateful to have found a great friend for Alphonse, who loves to interact with us too. I think May (Cutie) really likes her new home. She has found many great places to rest and play. She loves being petted and cuddled. She is a very welcome addition to our home. Thank you for all of your support and the efforts you took to keep her healthy while she was in your care. The wait was well worth it!
