Cwazy, wacky world of rescue. 2008-2009 I received a call from a DM (initials). She had to get rid of her PB. Initially DM was very nice, and we had a pleasant chat. I explained to her that I was in no position at that time to take in her I need to get rid of my PB right now, due to life changes, and that I would be happy to courtesy list....this went back and fort for about a week. Week 2 she began to get more desperate and the phone calls increasingly unpleasant. Long story short DM became so pissed that I could not take her dog due to life changes she decided to call ACO with false information. So they came out, they looked in every nook and cranny of my home, and property, and then we had a cup of coffee and they went on with their day, wasting app. 2 hours here. I am very friendly and have an excellent working relationship with our ACO. Scary what can and does happen. I assume she dumped her dog at some shelter, she just could not understand why I could not make room for HER dog, and none of the local groups would help her...I explained that everyone gets full, and that we all do the best we can. I am sure local groups had visits by their ACO officers as well. A fine line we walk in CWAZY RESCUE, WITH CWAZY PEOPLE.
