CyberPowers Fang Trinity gaming PC is simply insane ( Its cool & awesome..!!! ) ============================== CyberPowers new Fang Trinity looks like no PC weve ever seen. In fact, it looks more like a futuristic space pod than a computer. Yet make no mistake, this is a real PC. And one that packs a punch too. On paper the specs are something anyone would be happy to have in his or her system: a liquid-cooled 4GHz Intel Core i7 4790K, Gigabyte Z97 Mini-ITX motherboard, five SSDs, one 3.5-inch hard drive, a Blu-ray drive, a full-size 500 watt power supply, and a full-size GeForce GTX 980 graphics card. The real question though is how did CyberPower get that class of hardware in a machine shaped more like a nuclear warhead? The components are all sealed in individual pods and connect through the central trunk. One pod contains the motherboard, CPU and cooler, another the PSU and most of the storage drives, and the final pod holds a full size video card with three SSDs behind it. The shell is made using thick and heavy metal. Each pod cover actually weighs about 8 lbs. Even better, while radical designs can sometimes only be done using proprietary parts, the Fang Trinitys internals all consist of standard, off the shelf components only. The unit I put my hands on was a prototype but fully functional. CES is known for vendors trotting out radical hardware that they have a good idea will go nowhere. CyberPower says that wont happen with the Fang Trinity, which will go on sale within three months. Price wasnt disclosed, as it will vary based on components inside, and three months from now, who knows what hot graphics cards and CPUs will be available? Perhaps one of the slickest features of the Fang Trinity is just how unique it looks. If youre looking for a PC that will get attention, this is clearly one to consider. Source: CyberPower
