For instance, when you search for pictures and downloads of Britney Spears or Kathy Griffin you have about a 10% chance of landing on a page that tested positive for spam, adware, viruses, or other malware. There are things you can do better to protect yourself when youre online: •Be wary of links to free content or too-good-to-be-true offers. •Be cautious when searching on hot topics, which can often lead to fake and malicious sites. •Check web addresses for misspellings or other clues, it might be a phony or dubious site.
