D.O.B of Awami League is July 23,1949 not June 23,1949 ,The whole history is modified according to the needs of present Govt. Real History: On July 23, 1949 Maulana Bhasani founded the “East Pakistan Awami Muslim League”. Bhasani was elected its president and Shamsul Haque as its general secretary. On July 24,1949 he Organized the first meeting of Awamileague at Armanitola , Dhaka. On October 21-23, 1953 in the Council session RENAMED “AWAMI MUSLIM LEAGUE” AS “AWAMI LEAGU” by removing the word Muslim.He was president of Awami League till February 8, 1957. After that he left Pakistan and came Bangladesh to make them understand about the discrimination of Pakistan government. From 1949-1957, Moulana Bhasani was president not sheikh Mujibor Rahman. Present Govt. is celebrating 64th birth of Awami League at the Date of 23rd June. But there wasn’t any existence of any party named Awami League at the date of 23/06/1949.
