D day. ..Nyamaropa-Aberfoyle! 1.40a.m Cant sleep - the moon has just risen and is lying on her back in the sky above a bank of clouds. I would estimate that its approx 12 hrs until we finish our ride! Unbelievable. ... The Bottons plus Astrid and two of my children arrived safely and we are all camped in a field next to the Gairezi River. I find it so special to have women in camp and the 4 of us - me, Cami, Debs and Astri had a wonderfully invigorating bath in the Gairezi (and I got to wash my hair! )making it the 8th river I have washed in this trip! We cycled past Nyamaropa yesterday so we have a little over 80km to do tomorrow which will be our shortest and last day! Its wonderful to have the Bottons with us again, they have been such incredible support throughout our whole journey and its also very special to see Astri, she did the first two weeks of our back up and its great to be sleeping under the stars with her again too... I am going to try and get some more sleep. So. ...12 hours and counting! 4.45a.m Too excited to sleep in we are all up before the coffee....Cami and Bots are riding with us this morning. Here we go then about 9hrs to go! 7.00a.m On the road.sending this now cause about to run out of signal.... We love you all Xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
