D west knew if Africa stuck to what we knew and advanced the cause of learning they will have competition and a smaller market. At the beginning it was exploitation of our natural resources, today they turn us into markets they explore. Nothing is ever free from d west. Until we find our hearts, respect each others intellectual capacity to bring timeless solutions to our daily lives, evolve a new African civilization (a civilization evolved by u and me, based on learning and experience to advance the cause of life) only then can we be who we ought to be, only then will we no longer be dumping ground for cheap gratification or profits, only then will we have a proper measure to evaluate ourselves not in the eyes of the west. Its time Africa.
