DADDY UPDATE: Surgery went good this morning. No complications, very little blood loss. He is on a pain pump with morphine and really cranky! For the first couple of days they really dont want much movement in his upper body but is able to kind of situate himself in the bed. He has been in A LOT of pain this evening/tonight but went throughout the day pretty good. Hes quite short of breath and having a little respiratory trouble so they are monitoring him closely in case we need to start a breathing treatment or take him off the morphine for a while. He says his throat is still scratchy and his back is burning. He began complaining a little about his leg starting to hurt. And says it feels like hes being cut in half when he coughs. Ill keep updating as things go. Hoping for a better day tomorrow although I think the second day he will probably be more sore (but we can hope)! Staying the night with him tonight and we will see how he does through the rest of the night and tomorrow.
